Easter Sunday is Easter Sunday, even when we are not gathered in person for worship. Like the disciples on that first Easter morning, our experience this year with Easter will be from a sheltered place of social distancing. And yet, the power of the Biblical promise is that, isolated and in quarantine, in person or online, Christ still overcomes the power of the grave!
We will begin the morning with a Sonrise reading of the Easter message on Facebook. We'll have members of all four churches of the Church of South Washington sharing in the reading that will be posted around 6:30am. Whenever you wake up in the morning, pull up fb.com/WashingtonStUMC and share in the joy of the Easter story.
Then, join in Easter Worship at 10am. It will be a very different Easter Worship experience; it will be a one-of-a-kind Easter Sunday; but we will gather at 10am on WSUMC.LIVE and celebrate the power of God over death in the witness of Jesus Christ's resurrection. Whether in your Easter dress, or your most comfy PJs - whether before or after a hunt for golf balls in the back yard (because who can afford to use up all the eggs!?) - come and join with the community online as we celebrate the Good News ... as we celebrate the Best News!
