Like the people of Israel, we may struggle with the pain and the hurt of our nation, as we look more and more like a failed experiment. We may ask of God, what must we do to see your divine healing wash over our land? In the voice of Micah, we hear God's answer. We share our ears with that of Israel as the prophet speaks. But do we care to listen?

Fix Your Focus: Walk Humbly

The Bible is full of examples of what it means to ‘walk humbly with your God,’ and they help us understand what Micah is instructing to God’s faithful community. But walking humbly isn’t an isolated instruction. Micah’s instructions are offered as one word of guidance, and to be faithful, we must follow all three of them in tandem.

With over 400 uses in the Biblical text, the Word of God makes clear what is ‘justice.’
