The natural response to naming one’s brokenness is grief. We mourn our inability to sustain and give ourselves life – both individually and corporately. But this is life giving. As Jesus says, “Blessed are those who mourn.”
Sometimes, our fear of the other prohibits us from loving them as Christ commands. We need to stop giving credence to misperceptions that prohibit us from experiencing the fullness of God’s love in community.
Saying the Jesus Prayer is not about your personal relationship with Christ. It’s about your becoming part of the Body of Christ.
