Each year, Washington Street UMC holds a celebratory Harvest of Hope fair in the fall. The fair seeks to engage the congregation in the mission and ministry of the church in the community, identify opportunities for each person to share of their passions, gifts and talents to further the mission of God through the church, and to increase understanding of how giving of our time, talents, and treasures to the local congregation is making an impact and sharing God’s love in the world.
This year’s Harvest of Hope will take place on Sunday, October 9. You all have an opportunity to identify the ways you want to be involved in the life and ministry of WSUMC in the coming year. Representatives will be present from Open Table, A.L.I.V.E.!, Carpenter’s Shelter, Rising Hope and the WSUMC Preschool to talk about their presence and work in the community. Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be provided for our celebration time. Plan to stay after worship and celebrate all that God is doing in and through the ministry of Washington Street UMC!
