Washington Street United Methodist Church...since 1849

We offer a variety of small groups (or ”classes” to use a word from our religion’s founder, John Wesley) including:

 

Sundays at WSUMC

9:00-9:50 a.m. Electives

Children’s Sunday school — for ages 2-6 (Room 105) and ages 7-10 (Room 108).  (Last class is June 10th.)

Youth Sunday school — For ages 11-18 in the fellowship area off the narthex.  (Last class is June 10th.)

Hal Fisher Adult Class — Study following the International Bible Study Series in Room 103.

Adults of all ages — Enhance your worship experience. Join others for the next six weeks (through May 27) at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor as we explore the scripture that will be used in the weekly worship service.

“Fellowship Fifteen” — social time in the fellowship area off narthex

  • Children and Youth Ministries — Click here for exciting information for these age groups.
  • Adult Bible Study — Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in Room 104. This week we started a new study from the Radio Bible Class Study online, “Know Why You Believe; Introduction to Christian Apologetics.” The class will include ten reasons why we believe what we believe, discussion on our beliefs, and help us to witness our beliefs to others. Contact the church office.
  • Mothers’ Circle — Please email Dana Wood or Erin Lee for more information.
  • Grace Circle — We welcome women of all ages to join us for lively discussions and small service projects. We meet once a month after church (11:15 a.m.). Anyone interested should contact Rhonda McMillion.
  • Two AA groups — Sunday evenings (5:30-6:30) and Friday evenings (8:30-9:30 p.m.) Contact the church office for more information.
  • Social Seekers — a new Bi-District UMC ministry for single people of middle age (45-65 years of age). Contact Lucille Brown for upcoming events.
