Young Adults
Washington Street United Methodist Church...since 1849

WSUMC Young Adults

The Young Adult group was formed to help fill the spiritual needs of the 20-30-somethings at Washington Street UMC.

WSUMC is dedicated to helping this community

    • grow as disciples of Jesus Christ
    • connect more deeply with other members and ministries of the church, and
    • reach out to our surrounding community with the love of God.

As John Wesley, the founder of United Methodism said: “Lives are transformed in small groups when people meet together to pray, to study and to engage in fellowship.”

Upcoming Bi-District Young Adult Activities:

The United Methodist Church believes strongly in connectionalism—the idea that local churches are not separate entities, but are bound together by a common mission to reach out into the world in love. WSUMC Young Adults model connectionalism when we team up with other YAs in the Alexandria and Arlington Districts of the Virginia Conference of the UMC for worship, fellowship, study and service.
